Andrés
Carrera
FOR SENATE DISTRICT 34
Colorado
AFFORDABILITY
PROJECT
Andrés Carrera is a first-generation American, son of immigrants, and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community running for Colorado State Senate in District 34. He grew up in a working-class family and has spent his career pushing government to work for the people it too often ignores, always at the table for those who were never invited.
Andrés knows the challenges facing SD 34 families because he's lived them. He's sat with immigrant families living in fear, translated for them, and helped them navigate systems never built with them in mind.
MEET Andrés

Standing Up to Trump
As the Trump administration strips away essential services, threatens abortion care, destroys LGBTQ+ protections, and operates ICE facilities across Colorado, Andrés is running to be the first line of defense. He will introduce an Anti-ICE Bill of Rights, fight to protect abortion and women's healthcare, and make Colorado a safe haven against Project 2025.
BUILDING MORE AFFORDABLE COMMUNITIES
On affordability, Andrés is fighting for universal childcare, down payment assistance for Colorado grads, and non-profit grocery stores to bring food costs down for working families. He believes housing should be built for teachers, janitors, and everyday workers, not just investors.

CREATING
Good-paying jobs
Andrés will fight for good jobs through union apprenticeships, small business support, and protections for workers displaced by AI. And he's committed to universal healthcare coverage and ending the cycle of medical debt that traps too many Colorado families.
FIGHTING FOR A
STRONGER FUTURE
Andrés also knows that strong communities start with strong schools. He'll push for smaller K-12 class sizes, higher teacher pay, and affordable pathways through college and trade programs. And with Colorado's water supply shrinking and wildfire risk rising, he's committed to 100% renewable energy by 2040 and smart climate investments that protect our land, air, and communities.
